Bridges Burnt

z63776915.jpg bridges burnt. we ran from the world and you had my heart set with yours i felt the flames rise everytime we touched. i knew you loved me, i felt it in your kiss. close your eyes and picture that day. we were standing at the bridge and your arms were folded around me, and your fingers were laced with mine. i lost my breath in that moment, and the wind made it feel real. the leaves fell from the trees, & swirled around us. every exhale left our lips with a cloud. i think you drank in the cold to much. everyday you're heart started to get colder [so cold that even our flame couldnt melt the ice] the exchange of bitter words ate at our fate. our plans were burnt until all that was left were the ashes. you stood there; making me beg you to climb down from the top of that bridge, but you never planned to fall. [you.had.someone.else.in.mind.] i would have hit the ground, and let every bone of mine crumble to dust just to have you love me. i hated remebering the warmth of your hug; & i still cant forget your scent. you made october burn in my chest and the flame still chars my insides. i can hear your laughter ringing in my ears. tell me how you let go; tell me how you moved on; because the past is getting older everyday, & im still stuck.
